Advisory groups
The Policy Advisory Group (PAG) is the primary vehicle for stakeholder discussions on important policy issues relating to the effective delivery of the Agricultural Operation Practices Act, which is "to ensure that the province's livestock industry can grow to meet the opportunities presented by local and world markets in an environmentally sustainable manner." PAG first met in November 2006.
Peter Woloshyn, CEO, NRCB and Brenda Brindle, Director, Agriculture and Rural Development, are co-chairs of PAG. PAG reports through its co-chairs to the deputy ministers of Sustainable Resource Development and Agriculture and Rural Development. In addition to the co-chairs, PAG members include:
